Lauren Husbands
My name is Lauren Husbands and I have recently graduated from Brunel University with a 2.1 Upper Division Honours degree in Sociology & Media. At 21 years of age I have been lucky enough to have a vast range of experience within the media industry including promotions, social media, editorial, PR and feature writing. However, my passion lies most with writing as I love the freedom to be creative and share my writing with others. I spent a period of eight months writing a blog for a London based, high quality hair extension company in which I engaged with readers by exploring and reviewing various hairstyles and trends as well as encouraging readers to become involved in direct selling consultancy opportunities. I am now looking forward to developing and sharing my writing skills with Story Star Publishing.
Jane Haynes
My name is Jane Haynes and I am a 23 year-old aspiring journalist from Cork in the south of Ireland. While I graduated from University College Cork with an honours degree in Law and Irish, my big passion in life is writing, with my particular areas of interest ranging from fashion and the entertainment industry, to publishing and the wider book world. As well as interning for Story Star Publishing, I have also spent the past year writing for the US-based fashion blogging website, CollegeFashionista, and writing and editing for the Irish student-based website Studenty, as well as keeping my own blog, The Funky Frou-Frou. Over the coming months I intend to turn my hand to some fantasy fiction work, before undertaking my Masters in journalism in September 2012.
Elinor Rees
My name is Elinor Rees and I’m just about to go in to my third year of BA Media and Communications in Goldsmiths. I’m originally from South Wales and have always loved to read and write ever since I was a little girl. I’m specialising in script and prose writing for the practical aspect of my degree with the hopes of going in to publishing myself one day. My biggest dream, however, is to have my own book published so learning the ins and outs of the industry is a very exciting opportunity!
